The Reserva Grilos is an equal blend of Aragonez and Touriga Nacional with 20% Jaen, aged in an equal mixture of new and used French oak for nine months. This is a nice buy for an easy-drinker. It's a wine that obviously doesn't have a lot of power or real concentratio, but it seems serious enough for the price level. It has good freshness and balance. The oak adds a little cream to the texture, but it doesn't overly impact the fruit flavor. The elegance and "real wine" demeanor make this very appealing just now, but remember that wines like this do not necessarily stay at peak for all of their useful lives.
